Ricky's Retreat Services

How You Can Help

Community Service Projects that High School students, College students or anyone who wants to help could organize are...

Hygiene Drive

Collect items such as soap, shaving cream, shampoo, tooth paste, toothbrushes, toilet paper, paper towels, tissue, other similar items and donate to Bakersfield's AIDS Project.

Volunteer your Time and Skills

Ricky's Retreat is home to Bakersfield's AIDS Project's office and also serves as a home for Hospice stage clients and clients that need a place to land for a transitional period of time to get back on their feet. Volunteers are needed to clean the house and with yard maintenance on a weekly basis.

Fundraising Events

Some ideas: car wash, loose change collection, benefit performance of a school play or concert, or volunteers could help sell raffle tickets before and during the AIDS Quilt display in December. Please call us for more information.
